A freelance photographer since 1967, he was formerly editor and publisher of the magazines Ekko (1967) and Focus (1963-64). He also edited Foto-Magasinet from 1959 to 1963. Ege won an award from the Copenhagen City Art Fund and one from Arhus City Art Fund in 1978.
