In 2016 he acted in the hit movies, Poshter Girl and YZ. In 2017 Akshay acted in the political comedy-drama, Baghtos Kay Mujra Kar. The movie was a critical and commercial hit. Akshay next starred in director Ajay Naik's college drama, Hostel Days (2018).
