1785 Three-Room Makeover

May 11, 2016

Carpenter Jeff Devlin takes on his latest project, a 1785 stone farmhouse owned by the Vitale family in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The Vitales love the historic charm of their living room, which is almost completely in its original state, but they ask Jeff to give a facelift to the 230-year-old fireplace. Their kitchen is a hodge podge of additions that just doesn't match the rest of their house, so Jeff and his team rip the whole thing out and bring in a bright, clean farmhouse kitchen with blue cabinets and fresh white quartz countertops. The mudroom is a strange 1950s addition with no character, so Jeff repurposes old lumber he finds in their garage to create custom storage and add beams to the walls, giving it an old log cabin feel.

1729 Kitchen and Living Room Addition

May 25, 2016

Carpenter Jeff Devlin heads to the 1729 home of Siobhan and Brian, to take a look at the kitchen and living room additions to their home. The kitchen space was added in the 1800s, but then fell victim to a really bad 1980s remodel. It even has horrible indoor/outdoor carpet as flooring.
