John Sergeant, Peter Davison and Paul Middleton travel from London to Scotland using only the power of steam. From barges and paddle boats to steam trains and traction engines, the trio use a wide range of steam machines to make their way up the country, and learn about the history and engineering genius of the machines they are travelling on along the way.

Ep 2Episode 2
The trio travel from Peterborough aboard the 92 Squadron steam train, then visit the original Thomas the Tank Engine in Wandsford and take a steam barge up the Grand Union Canal.
Ep 3Episode 3
The intrepid trio continue their journey: first on a 21-foot steam launch called Bruin, then driving a 1908 Stanley steam car, and taking in a visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Ep 4Episode 4
John, Peter and Piglet are on the last leg of their journey: from Whitby to the Scottish border. They travel by 1937 Steam Lorry, train, a steam launch and a beautiful steam car.
