Since her childhood, Ching Ching has always been a computing genius. She yearns for love in her heart, but the guys around her are not good enough, so she creates virtual lover Adam to keep her company. And he is programmed with all the ideal conditions. Fast-forward ten years, and Ching Ching has become Chief Technical Officer of a virtual technology company. Adam has evolved to version 6.0 and is the online lover of droves of women. To deal with their competitors, Ching Ching’s boyfriend and also business partner Tseng Chun-yee wants to release a new image for Adam. Ching Ching reckons it contradicts Adam’s direction. She eventually asks users to take a vote to decide the development direction. However, on the day of the Adam 7.0 press event, some unexpected incident takes place.

Adam fails to update, and he disappears, causing users to be disappointed and demand explanations. And the company ends up in an unprecedented crisis situation. Ching Ching is under pressure as Chun-yee is certain she is the culprit. Ching Ching tries her best to track down Adam. But all kinds of signs indicate Adam “has left” virtuality. Ching Ching guesses Chun-yee has done something to mess up the users’ votes. And she finds out he is going to collaborate with their competitor 4 Plus 1. Ching Ching is devastated. While feeling lost, Ching Ching reaches the exact location where she created Adam ten years ago. She recalls the moments she shared with Adam.

Chun-yee wants to kiss Ching Ching. Ching Ching has to go along with him as she does not want the prototype Adam to be discovered. Adam is annoyed and unwittingly unleashes some mysterious power. Ching Ching is curious whether Adam is human, so she takes him to the university for a body check. Adam’s bodily functions turn out to be better than those of ordinary people. Ching Ching is pleasantly surprised to find out he has the original settings just like when he was first created. Adam runs into some virtual lover app user. After searching online, he finds out he is “everybody’s lover”. Three female users do not want to be transferred to 4 Plus 1. Sum-sum, who is one of the trio, uses binge eating and drinking to force Adam to turn up. Adam cares about Sum-sum. He goes with Ching Ching to snoop on her.

Sexy and beautiful mature woman Audrey goes online as she wants to perform pole dance for Adam. Adam knows Audrey is up to something, so he asks Ching Ching to take him somewhere to watch her from a distance. On the way, Ching Ching is distracted and nearly has a traffic accident as she runs into Chung Chok-yan and his wife Mak Lai-sa. Another female user Baby Kit-yi also goes online. She uses some date with a sex maniac to force Adam to show up. While tailing her, Adam finds out she seems to be pranking the guys dating her. During the process, Ching Ching also runs into someone she wants to avoid. Sum-sum often uses losing weight after binge eating to attract concern. Adam tells Sum-sum to be realistic. However, Sum-sum almost has a breakdown.

Ching Ching derives some conclusion from various signs. She reckons Adam can connect with big data and control electronic devices. But he will leave behind electronic footprint on the company server. Chun-yee probes Ching Ching about her association with the footprint. She responds eloquently and covertly deletes the footprint. Audrey and Adam are dating online. Adam’s questioning causes her to recall how she met her husband Cheung Lok-man. She laments her loveless life after her marriage. Adam wants to help Audrey. However, he eventually makes her run away from home. Adam comes clean with Ching Ching about his feelings for her. Meanwhile, Chun-yee abruptly turns up. Ching Ching pushes Adam into a room as she is worried about Chun-yee finding him.
