However, as the boys grow into men, Rebekah realizes that she must defy and deceive Isaac to fulfill God's plan to ensure that Jacob becomes the rightful heir.

Sisters become rivals when motherly and protective Leah falls in love with Jacob, although he gives his heart to her sister, the strong-willed shepherdess Rachel. However, Rachel is devastated when Leah, her brothers and her father execute the ultimate betrayal, yet is adamant to give Jacob a child in order to fulfill God's plan.
