Thunderstone
Thunderstone is an Australian science fiction children's series broadcast on Network Ten from 12 February 1999 to 8 September 2000. Created by Jonathan M. Shiff, the show is set in a post-apocalyptic future where a comet has destroyed most life on Earth. The year is 2020. 15-year-old Noah Daniels lives with his family in the futuristic underground community of North Col. The world above is a frozen wasteland after the comet destroyed all other life including the animals. One night, Noah accidentally time travels to the future and finds himself trapped in 2085 in a desolate desert called Haven with a group of children, the Nomads, led by Arushka.

Ep 1The Comet Nemesis
2020 is the year in which Noah Daniels lives with his family. Back in 2002 a comet Nemesis destroyed the Earth's surface along with humans and animals. The few that survived live underground in a place called North Col. Noah is gifted in ways, but it is his fascination with the holodeck with proves to be costly. The holodeck with was once used is now left to gather dust, until Noah starts it up and lands in Haven.
Ep 2Tao's Secret Weapon
After being captured by a group of Nomads, Noah is still trying to figure out how far back into the past he is. The Nomads are a small band of children who are pursued by another older group of youths called the Protectors who runs a mine. In this time, the most powerful substance is Thunderstone and this is what Tao of the Protectors is currently mining. A sensing device, provided by a mysterious man in a cloak is a new weapon for tracking down the Nomads. Back in North Col, Noah has been noticed as being missing.
Ep 3Twin Brothers
Still a captive of the Nomads, Sundance and Noah come face-to-face with the protectors once again and we discover that Sundance has a twin brother Sutch who is a Protector. To prove he is no danger to the Nomads, Noah detroys the sentinel and then both he and Sundance return back to the Nomad camp. Back at North Col, Dr. Pretorius and Becky are trying to re-trace what Noah did in order to find him and bring him back.
Ep 4Escape from the Hollow Mountain
Tao has plans for the truck known as The Beast. The Nomads are still trying to reach the safety of the mountains via the 'deep road', meanwhile Noah has discovered that he is actually in North Col, but instead of being in the past he is in the future year of 2085. Sundance returns to the camp with Noah's PHD and he figures out that to go back home he with need to same kind of energy that was first needed to transport him. The only thing which Noah sees to have that power is the thunderstone.
Ep 5Trapped
Arushka and Noah sneak into the protector mines in order to save Sundance whom they are convinced. Back in North Col, Noah's mother Liz has a look around the Holodeck. Tao meets up with Noah in the cave while Arushka has to deal with the feeling of guilt at having left Noah there alone and returns back to the Nomads lair to find him. Having been found and in order to escape Noah activates his PHD and along with Arushka they leave Haven.
Ep 6The Lion
Noah and Arushka stare gob smacked at the huge creature before them. This is a circus in 1999 — they have gone back too far! Arushka doesn't hear or care about Noah's concerns — these are real animals not just images on a wall. She never wants to leave. Noah tells her in a couple of years the animals and everything else will be gone when the Nemesis Comet strikes. Noah sets off to find a power source, leaving a saddened Arushka to look around. All of the animals are amazing but when she meets the beautiful circus horse Moshi she is totally captivated. As Noah drags Arushka away from the circus they meet Sophie and Mingus, a pair of animal liberationists set on freeing the circus animals. Whilst trying to prevent the animals from escaping, Noah and Arushka are caught and accused of the break-ins. In North Col, a quantum aberration convinces Becky that Noah may have time-travelled. Tao roars across the Red Desert in the Beast, telling Jett about his latest weapon — the mobile Sentinel tracking device. They can run but they cannot hide! Noah and Arushka are being escorted to a waiting police car when a lion escapes its cage. The crowd panics but an entranced Arushka is captivated by the beauty of the King of the Jungle.
