The people of Alvis need Soushi's help, since he is the only one that can lead them back to their homeland of Tatsumiyajima. But a group called Benon, who are a combination of Festum and Perseus-type Fafner's, are fighting to prevent this.

Ep 1Azure Operation
Using the Fifth Operation Azure, they aim to bring back their stolen comrades. Kazuki Makabe and the other Tatsumiyajima pilots board the humanoid weapon, Fafner, to engage in a fierce fight with the Festum. "Someone will be sacrificed in order for someone else to live. Let's abandon such world and make a new one." "Return to the place where you belong."
Ep 2Child of Paradise
In a dream, Soushi meets two children who look exactly like Orihime. They tell Soushi that the Mir's child is looking for him. Suddenly, a man stands behind him. When he wakes up from his dream, he sees the usual peaceful island and the blue sea that continues forever. Loving parents, a cheeky but cute little sister, and a carefree close friend. It is a satisfying daily life, but Soushi is curious about the outside world.
Ep 3Instrument of Destiny
Soushi refuses to listen to the man from the outside world who killed his dear little sister and also caused the destruction of the island where he lived. Kazuki puts him to sleep and entrusts the rest to Miwa and the others. Sometime later, Soushi wakes up and takes a rebellious stand against the people of the island――especially Kazuki. Fumihiko and his collagues try to convince Soushi that this world is the reality...
Ep 4The Powerless Ones
Under the guidance of Ruby Karma, Soushi boards Mark Nicht. However, he, who should have resonated with his past self, is swallowed by the thoughts of hatred that sleeps within Nicht and the altered consciousness, causing him to go out of control. "I will destroy everything on this island!" Soushi, who blindly hits everything out of anger like a child who keeps whining, is treated lightly by Reo and the other pilots. Miwa watches the situation with sadness, standing alone...
Ep 5Pupil
South America, Independent Human Army Bermuda Base. Under the glowing red moon, Benon's mothership, Olympus, has anchored in a military port that has been attacked and destroyed. Inside the ship sits a blonde, blue-eyed young man wearing a military uniform on a throne. Beside him stand Maris Excelsior and Marespero, who created a new body. The young man declares that he will move his fleet and make an all-out attack on Wadatsumijima, but Maris wants to pursuade Soushi before destroying the island...
Ep 6By Your Side
Wadatsumijima's movements are put to a stop by Marespero. Alvis considers escape routes, but the simulation results aren't in their favor. They have come to a conclusion that the Mir, Altair, is the only hope to counter the enemies from space. Soushi is given the opportunity to board Mark Nicht again in order to locate Tatsumiyajima... The teachings of the pilots, Chizuru's achievements, Miwa's determination, the history of peace and suffering of the Tatsumiyajima's citizens. When he learns, absorbs, and feels them, a new awareness will emerge from within Soushi.
