Two years ago, Yukako married Koichi, a man with a child, through an arranged marriage. Her stepson, Yosuke, is dating a high school girl named Kana. Unbeknownst to him, Kana engages in compensated dating via a matchmaking site to earn spending money. One day, Yukako runs into Kana in town, walking with a man named Otaki who looks like an office worker.
