Release the Hounds is a British television game show broadcast on ITV2 from October 2013 to February 2018. The show, hosted first by Reggie Yates and later by Matt Edmondson, culminates in the participants attempting to complete scary gruesome challenges in order to find keys to unlock chests containing money and then being chased by dogs in the hope of escaping and winning the cash prize.
Release the Hounds, the unique horror gameshow is back for a new series on ITV2 and this time they’re taking scary to a new level! The new series is moving location and this year will be filmed in a remote Eastern European location from dusk through to the dead of night. Host Reggie Yates, will continue to be the contestants’ only form of communication as they attempt the gruesome challenges. As always, the show sees three best friends enter a huge forest at dusk, in a quest to unlock chests full of prize money and feed their greed. The not so fearless contestants will all be out to win money – but to win big, they must face some of the scariest tasks ever endured on TV.
