The arrival of Elif Türkkan, a young high school teacher passionately devoted to her profession, marks a turning point in the lives of everyone living in this small town. Here, she meets Zeynep, a young girl in the prime of her life, and takes her under her wing. Thus, Elif embarks on a one-man battle against Volkan, the heir to the powerful Baykara family whom Zeynep is being forced to marry, and against this family that has cast a dark shadow over Sarpça. Over time, Elif realizes that someone else is also trying to change the town's unfortunate fate. Her encounter with the mysterious Emir Baykara, who has turned his back on his own family, proves confusing for Elif.
Elif's appointment will be great destruction for Zeynep. While Elif continues her struggle to stay in Sarpça by using her right of objection, her students also engage in feverish work unaware of her. Emir, with his secret support, manages to arrange a great opportunity for Elif at school. However, the decision depends on Elif coming to the school and defending herself. Zeynep is plunged into a great darkness with the effect of the lost night she lived. Elif, unaware of what she's going through, tries to give her hope. Gülendam, on the other hand, is suffering from guilt, knowing the real reason for Zeynep's situation. The mobilization of everyone for Elif is about to nullify all the efforts of the Baykaras. However, Ekrem and Macide decide to put another stone in Elif's path. While Elif's going to school is prevented by the Baykaralar, Emir still does not leave Elif alone. When Emir and Ekrem come face to face, Ekrem is forced to make a choice. Ekrem's choice infuriates Volkan.
