The Best Thing I Ever Ate is one of two flagship shows of the Food Network which premiered on June 22, 2009. The program originally aired as a one-time special in late 2008. The program consists of chefs picking out their favorite dishes in specific categories. Opening Introduction:
There are wonderful foods in faraway places ... and even better foods right around the corner from home! Rachael Ray, Guy Fieri and Wolfgang Puck are among the Food Network stars who reveal their favorite LOCAL dishes - from the ultimate French Onion soup, to a crispy pepper pizza and an unbelievably delicious salt encrusted fish. Coconut cake, a classic Chicago dog and a pepper beef sandwich round out the list!
