Wedding.con is a true crime documentary series about five women who seek to fulfill a universal dream - Marriage. However, in their search for the perfect life-partner, they end up getting exploited financially and emotionally by conmen with fake identities, posing as suitable grooms on popular online platforms.
In marriage there’s a wish to share the deepest parts of ourselves with the partner. And when one suddenly realises it’s a con, what does one do with a broken heart, the loss of dignity, the huge financial debt? What kind of support does society and the law offer to victims of online, matrimonial fraud? How do these five women receive justice? More importantly, how do they heal?
