Lavinia and Matteo are a close-knit couple whose equilibrium is shattered when a tragedy befalls them: their daughter Camilla, only eighteen years old, is found lifeless in a cornfield outside the city. The arrest of Kevin, a boy of African origin with a few priors, triggers several questions. While Matteo is convinced, Lavinia seems to believe there is another truth.
The Santovito family is falling apart: Lavinia and Matteo are increasingly estranged, while Roberto steals his father's service pistol to take justice into his own hands.
