A cold case resurfaces in 1996 Yokohama when a respected tutor's unsolved murder reignites investigation into his troubled former student, uncovering hidden connections between the victim, suspects, and seemingly unrelated individuals that twist the mystery into unexpected directions.
The actions of Taira's son, Takanori (Sakamoto Manato), weigh heavily on Taira's heart. While Taira tries to reexamine his own behavior through conversations with his wife, Sumiko (Emi Kurara), Oya makes contact with Sachiko (Bando Nozomi), a former student at Togawa Juku. They then discover the existence of a "Parents' Association" to which parents of Togawa Juku students also belong, but Taira and Oya are removed from their duties in the Togawa case... Meanwhile, a word spoken by Akutsu drives Toyoko to madness. What truth will Taira discover?
