The program pits four teams (consisting of a celebrity and three loved ones) against each other in a battle in nature. Think of families, close friendships, colleagues, or artists who feel connected to each other. Each team is split in two: two members become survivors, two become providers.
Conditions in the jungle are becoming increasingly unforgiving, while physical ailments pile up rapidly. Demi de Boer falls ill and must face both physical and emotional challenges. Later, she confides in Art about how complex and difficult her relationship with her father, Ronald, has been for a long time. Meanwhile, new duos enter the inhospitable territory, where every decision at the base camp carries direct and far-reaching consequences.
