In the peaceful surroundings of the hotel, disasters suddenly begin to strike—rising temperatures, heavy rains, water shortages, rising sea levels, and more. How is all this happening? As the hotel’s only guest, the polar bear Bei Bei must uncover the root causes of these events.

Polar bear Bei Bei is a long-term guest at Hotel Carbonia. Today, he complains to the hotel's manager about the temperature. When the manager denies that the hotel has anything to do with the weather, the omniscient narrator explains how global warming impacts the world and drives up the temperature.
