Senior theater student Jack sets out to create an ambitious stage production, Romeo and Romeo-a bold, male-male re-imagining of the classic Romeo and Juliet. What begins as a dream project soon becomes an emotional minefield when Jack casts friends, exes and their admirers. As rehearsals intensify, unresolved feelings, unspoken crushes, desire, jealousy, and rivalry spiral out of control. Caught between art and emotion, six friends find their relationships tested to the limit.
Jack takes on the role of director for the Faculty of Fine Arts' annual stage production and announces a bold reinterpretation of Shakespeare's classic as a male–male version, Romeo & Romeo. By opening the lead roles to public auditions, he sparks direct competition between his ex-boyfriend Dean and Raffy, who has secretly loved him for years.
