Typisk norsk is a news and magazine program about language and communication produced by Dropout Productions and Rubicon TV for NRK. Three seasons of the program have been produced. The concept is inspired by the SVT-produced series Värsta språket with Fredrik Lindström as the host. Petter Schjerven is the host of Typisk norsk. Among other things, the program covers interesting topics in language and communication. It also deals with language enthusiasts and researchers and discusses problems with the Norwegian language.
Stadig flere nordmenn skarrer og "sms-språket" er blitt Guds ord. "Herlig er f....a, måtte p....n skjenke den" står ristet inn i en pinne fra 1200-tallet. Programleder Peter Schjerven ser på Norges språkutvikling gjennom de siste hundre år.
