Julie leaves her husband Karl without even saying goodbye and heads for a new life in London. Staying with her friend Marie, she soon meets Dave, a publican, and flirts outrageously with him. Julie's romantic nature gets the better of her and, feigning pregnancy, she accepts Dave's offer of marriage - pretending she is still single.
