Dusya Koroleva, who became chairman of the collective farm after the war, runs the business without hesitation. In the spring of 1965, when Khrushchev's excesses in the leadership of agriculture were condemned, Dusya resigned as chairman of the collective farm and went to live in Moscow. In the city, she has difficulty finding a job and defining her lifestyle. However, an unexpected meeting with her mother makes her wonder if she is living the right life...
